Karen W. Jones, LPC, of Cognitive Health Solutions ( will present a two-hour, interactive workshop to give us the tools for practicing resilience and managing stress. As we “re-enter the world,” we may experience fear and anxiety in areas of our lives that we once navigated with ease. In her presentation, Karen will demonstrate useful tools for managing these moments, big and small, with mindfulness. 


In her 20+ years of providing therapeutic services, Karen has worked with a variety of populations to address anxiety, depression, disordered eating and body image issues, grief and loss, relationship disruption as well as trauma and stress related issues. She has served in a variety of mental health settings, including community outpatient programs, crime victim assistance, crisis management and critical incident response, college counseling, rehabilitation hospital and private practice. Karen is skilled in cognitive behavioral and person-centered therapies. She uses motivational, collaborative and integrative approaches such as mindfulness and/or narrative techniques to assist clients. In 2019, she completed the intensive training and application process through the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society in Massachusetts and became a Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher.
