To date, we have raised $12,000 of the $15,000 needed to open our first grant fund in memory Mel Shull, a well-known, and admired artist. With just a small amount remaining, we are asking you, our everyday patrons, and supporters to donate an amount of your choosing and be a part of developing a strong future for the arts locally.
Why create the fund?
In our efforts to foster future artists and support the continuation of arts education in Adams County, the ACAC is establishing several Arts Education Grants. These grants will recognize specific artists who have made significant impact in our community toward furthering art awareness and education. Establishing these funds will enable their vision and creativity to leave in perpetuity while directly providing financial support to students and artists.
Who will benefit from these grants?
Primary/Secondary students and college/graduate students of Adams County who wish to cultivate skills in one of the following disciplines: Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Literary Arts and the Healing Arts.
Established Artists of Adams County who seek to utilize their skills in a residency, teaching, or developing/continuing arts education in Adams County. Artists will commit to cultivating the following disciplines: Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Literary Arts and the Healing Arts.
When will these grants be available?
With your help, we need to raise $3,000 in just 14 days, ending Feb. 16th! This will enable us to launch our process in March and begin issuing our first grants before the end of 2021.
